Is God fair?

For there is no respect of persons with God.

Romans 2:11 (NKJV)

Is God fair? Yes He is.

It is true that some people are born poor with no hope and opportunities and others are born wealthy. It is because the fall of mankind.

But you know what!!? The problem is finite, and our God is infinite. And he has given power to all believers. And we have more than what Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had.

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

Luke 7:28 (KJV)

Too bad we are all born with different fortune. But it is out of God’s control. God doesn’t control everything (Link here).

What God can control is the resource He gives us. And He gave all believers the same power to obliterate all the problems we got.

And what’s more, if worse came to worst, we do still have hope!!!

Anyone who is among the living has hope —even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!

Ecclesiastes 9:4 (NIV)

Yay, praise the Lord!!!

Not to despise the goodness of God

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Romans 2:4

What is your primary way of sharing the gospel (aka bringing people to Chirst, letting people to know Jesus)?

You probably came across preachers preaching their version of gospel : “God is just, sin gotta be dealt with and so you need to be a Christian,” without telling people the love of God, Jesus wanting to be their friends and how good God is.

You know what? According to the Romans 2:4, at best they are ignorant and have no or little revelation about the grace and the love of God, at worst they are despising the goodness of God. It is true. They are DESPISING the goodness of God.

What does despise mean in dictionary?

καταφρονέω (kataphroneō 2706)
despise -ed, -est, -ing [KJV]
to think down upon or against any one; hence, to think slightly of. Reference(s)
Mat 6:24, Mat 18:10, Luk 16:13, Rom 2:4, 1Co 11:22, 1Ti 4:12, 1Ti 6:2,Heb 12:2, 2Pe 2:10

At the end of the day, Jesus came so that we can repent to God, not merely repenting from sin. If repenting from sin is enough, John the Baptist is enough, there is no need for Jesus to come.
